How and Why Did You Name Your Company Olive Ewe Productions?
Olive Ewe Productions, what's with the name?? It's not random I promise!
When tasked with dreaming up a name for this little Boston based wedding video company I knew I needed help. So, I enlisted the help of lovely man whom I call my best friend and partner. Early in our relationship we would text each other silly things like Elephant Shoe, or Olive Juice, to each other because phonetically it sounds like "I Love You." This is the main idea behind the company name.
As we sat in our dingy basement apartment brainstorming and putting strange words together, suddenly "Olive Ewe" stumbled out of somebody's mouth. THAT'S IT! I shouted.
Olives are a symbol of peace and wisdom in western culture, which I do believe are important aspects of a relationship. However let's be honest. The real reason I latched on to Olive Ewe was because I LOVE sheep. I know that sounds a little weird because they are some of the dumbest animals around. But hear me out.
- I grew up watching Lamb Chop while holding my favorite stuffed animal in the world, a Lamb.
- Rachel, my name, in Hebrew רחל, literally means Ewe.
- They are fluffy and cute!
Why the word productions, instead of videography, or videos, or simply films?
To me your wedding film is more than showing up with a camera on the day and slapping some music underneath the images and calling it done. I get to know you as a couple and as individuals, your likes and dislikes, and the things that matter most to you. Our wedding films are stories that allow you to relive some of your favorite memories for your lifetime and beyond. This requires an approach and attention to detail worthy of a full fledged film production.
And there you have it, the origin and story behind Olive Ewe Productions' name.
