Venezia Boston, MA Wedding, Mary + Jimmy
People often say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, but whose to say that isn't true for ladies as well?! Mary and Jimmy fell in love over a plate of nachos. One Sunday funday at a mutual friend's house they met and those nachos and the rest is history.
South Boston is where Mary and Jimmy met and live, so naturally they decided to wed there as well! After getting ready at their home and the Boston Seaport Hotel, outside of which they had their first look. Jimmy said the sweetest thing I have EVER heard a groom say during a first look. The best part was I had no idea what he said because of traffic noise and standing a few meters away. It wasn't until I sat down to edit with the crystal clear audio from the microphone that I knew about the first time Jimmy knew Mary was the one.
Once that tearjerking moment was over we hopped in the party trolley to take some pics at the Boston Seaport, and then made our way to the beautiful St. Agatha's in Milton, MA for the ceremony.
As much as I try to convey their fun-loving personalities with gifs and personal anecdote, I think their wedding video speaks for itself.
Catholic ceremonies are beautiful and storied events, and theirs was beautiful and touching, both Mary and Jimmy teared up during their vows. But true to their nature the ceremony was not without its laughs. At the end Father Duffy sang an Irish Wedding Song, that has a lot more verses than you or anyone else attending might expect.
When we our venue walkthroughs about 6 months before the wedding Mary and Jimmy took me in to the reception hall at Venezia and pointed at the ceiling. "We had to make sure the ceiling was high enough at our venue so that a grown man could stand on another grown man, our friends like to party." I might be paraphrasing, but it was something to that effect, and they were not joking at all.
Clockwork provided the stellar tuneage for the evening, and everyone lived it up just as Mary and Jimmy predicted. Love you guys.
And now your moment of zen...
